The fourth inning was six Arizona runs on four hits and a sacrifice fly, and by the time it ended Matthew Liberatore had thrown ninety-eight pitches and the Cardinals trailed 7-2. LuJames Groover's first home run of the season came on a 90.5 mph cutter to left field, and it was the swing that turned a tie game into a runaway. Ketel Marte's thirteenth home run followed at 109.3 mph off the bat, and that was the last hitter Liberatore faced. Tommy Troy drove in the first run of the inning and came around to score twice.
