Grant Wolfram faced five hitters in the eighth and two of them scored. Yennier Cano got one out and gave up four hits and four runs. That's how a 3-2 lead became an 8-2 loss. Shane Baz had pitched seven innings, allowed two runs, struck out six, and left with the lead — 109 pitches, 66 strikes. Colson Montgomery's double in the eighth, his fifteenth, put Chicago ahead, and Jacob Gonzalez singled in two more in the ninth. Sean Burke gave the White Sox 5.1 innings of two-run ball.
