Trey Yesavage gave Toronto 6.2 innings and allowed one run — Francisco Lindor's seventh-inning homer, his third of the year. Sean Manaea took the loss despite holding the Blue Jays to three hits over 5.2, because Myles Straw's fifth-inning sacrifice fly was enough. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. grounded out at 111.1 mph in the fourth, the hardest contact of the night, and it produced nothing. The Mets committed two errors and left seven on. Louis Varland needed 23 pitches to get through the ninth. George Springer legged out his first triple of the season, and Luis Urías doubled for the first time. Neither scored.
