Sam Antonacci had given Chicago the lead with a solo shot in the first, and it held until the fifth, when Tyler O'Neill went 430 feet to left and Adley Rutschman followed with a single to plate Jackson Holliday. Taylor Ward's sac fly made it three in the inning. Dean Kremer gave up four hits, struck out four, and walked one across six — 79 pitches — and Leody Taveras homered in the eighth for the final run.
