Seven innings passed without a run, and then Milwaukee scored four in the eleventh. Garrett Mitchell had put the Brewers ahead with a two-run homer in the second at 111.8 mph, 435 feet, before Nolan Arenado doubled in two in the third to flip the lead. The game sat at 3-3 from the fourth through the tenth. Jackson Chourio broke it with a single that scored two — aided by a throwing error from pitcher Ryan Thompson — and Brice Turang followed with a two-run single. Chad Patrick gave Milwaukee 3.1 innings of one-hit relief on 34 pitches. Ildemaro Vargas singled in Arizona's only run of the eleventh.
