Adrian Del Castillo's three-run homer in the first — on an 0-0 cutter at 88.8 mph — was the swing that held up all night. Twelve hits for Milwaukee, three runs, ten left on base: a ledger of a team that kept knocking and nobody answered. Brandon Woodruff went 3.2 innings and took the loss in a start where he struck out six but could not survive the first. Merrill Kelly gave Arizona five innings of two-run ball to make it stand. Paul Sewald gave up Jackson Chourio's ninth-inning home run on an 0-2 sweeper at 84.9 mph and still got the save. One run was the difference, and Milwaukee had the hits to change it and did not.
