Jordan Walker's three-run homer in the sixth — 109.2 mph off the bat, 409 feet — flipped a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead for St. Louis. It lasted half an inning. The Cubs scored four in the bottom of the sixth, keyed by Nico Hoerner's RBI single and Pedro Ramírez's two-run sacrifice fly that also drew a throwing error from Walker in right. Javier Assad had given Chicago 4.2 innings of two-hit baseball before that. Jacob Webb covered the last two innings for the save, allowing one hit. The Cardinals committed two errors and left five on base.
