Emerson Hancock threw 92 pitches across seven innings and allowed two hits. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a double at 114.7 mph off the bat — the hardest contact of the game — and stood on second base with nobody driving him in. Trey Yesavage struck out seven over six innings and took the loss, because Cal Raleigh's sacrifice fly in the third and Mitch Garver's two-run homer in the fourth were enough on a night Toronto managed three hits. Tyler Rogers needed six pitches, all six strikes, to retire the side in the eighth.
