The Marlins put nine balls in play against Miller that found grass, including Griffin Conine's first-pitch home run in the second — a 95 mph four-seamer that left at 106.5 mph and traveled 373 feet. Seattle scored in the same inning but never pulled even. Otto Lopez's triple in the fourth, a 1-0 splitter at 82.3 mph, scored two and the Marlins kept adding. Janson Junk gave Miami five innings of three-hit ball and that was enough.
