Kyle Leahy held the Angels to three hits and one earned run over six innings, and José Soriano matched him with seven innings of two-run ball. The Cardinals scored both their runs in the second and never scored again. Riley O'Brien faced four hitters in the ninth, gave up two hits and a walk, and took the loss. Vaughn Grissom's double put the winning run on third, and Jo Adell took a pitch to force it in.
