The Athletics scored first in the tenth on Jonah Heim's sacrifice fly, and then Luis Medina gave up two singles and two walks without finishing the inning. Ildemaro Vargas ended it with a ground ball to left that scored Gabriel Moreno. Max Kepler's three-run homer in the first — his second of the year — gave Arizona an early lead, and Shea Langeliers's 23rd home run tied it in the eighth. Jacob Wilson's two-run shot in the ninth put the Athletics ahead. Arizona needed a Nolan Arenado single and Vargas's hit to answer in the tenth. Medina threw 28 pitches and got one out.
