LaMonte Wade Jr. singled in a run to start the sixth, and Christian Walker's three-run double behind him turned a two-run deficit into a one-run lead. Cam Smith followed with a two-run homer, and Jose Altuve added an RBI single before the inning ended. Bryan Hudson recorded two outs and took the loss. Spencer Arrighetti had put Houston in the hole with three first-inning runs on thirty-three pitches, but AJ Blubaugh held the line for two innings after him. Yordan Alvarez's single left the bat at 115.7 mph. Josh Hader struck out two in a clean ninth.
