The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Nick Martinez went 5.2 innings at Coors Field without issuing a walk — harder than it sounds in the park where the air does half the work for the hitter. He allowed six hits, struck out four, and turned a 3-0 lead over to Tyler Wells. Colorado squared balls up and watched them die: TJ Rumfield grounded out at 110.2 mph, Kyle Karros at 107.5, and Edouard Julien lined out 369 feet from home at 105.4 mph. Junior Caminero's 33rd home run put Tampa Bay ahead in the 3rd, and Victor Mesa Jr. bunted in a run in the 7th. Tomoyuki Sugano was charged with the loss — five innings, three earned.
