Spencer Jones singled in the first run on a 99.1 mph fastball in the second and tripled to center in the fifth at 111.1 mph to score George Lombard Jr. Lombard Jr. homered to right in the seventh, his second of the year. Chris Sale struck out eight in six innings and gave up three earned. Ronald Acuña Jr. homered in the eighth to bring Atlanta within a run, and Dominic Smith's single to right in the ninth scored Mike Yastrzemski for the last run.
