Gavin Williams had struck out seven in five and two-thirds when the sixth started, and by the time Erik Sabrowski got the last out, the White Sox had scored five. Rhys Hoskins homered on a 1-0 sweeper, Munetaka Murakami followed with a home run on a 1-1 sinker at 99.8 mph, and Tristan Peters doubled in two more. Holderman threw 16 pitches — ten strikes — and took the loss without recording an out. Anthony Kay gave Cleveland six innings of two-run ball, and the inning that cost him came after he left. Angel Genao hit the first home run of his season in the seventh, a solo shot to right.
