Taj Bradley struck out seven in five innings and left with a lead Jeff Hoffman could not keep — a single and a double in the eighth brought home the tying and winning runs. Hoffman threw 12 of 15 pitches for strikes and still lost it. William Contreras drove in a run without swinging, hit by a curveball on an 0-2 count with the bases loaded in the first. Royce Lewis's two-run double in the second was the only extra-base hit Minnesota produced. Trevor Megill threw four pitches, all strikes, to end it. Andrew Vaughn's groundball single to right brought home Brandon Lockridge.
