Andrés Muñoz took the tenth with the lead and gave up four hits and five runs before the second out. Seattle had climbed back — Victor Robles singled in a run in the sixth, Brendan Donovan's grounder in the eighth tied it — and the Mariners scored two in the top of the tenth to go ahead. Then it was gone. Christian Walker's home run left the bat at 108.2 mph, and Yordan Alvarez hit his 36th in the first on an 89.9 mph changeup. Seattle left ten on base across ten innings. Muñoz threw 23 pitches, got two outs, and took the loss — a reliever who did not walk a batter and still could not survive the contact.
