Grisham and Mayo traded solo shots in the third, and the game stayed tied until the seventh. Baz struck out ten over 6.1 innings on 104 pitches, walked two, and took the loss — Grisham's two-run single in the seventh was the blow that settled it. Rodón left after four innings and 66 pitches, and five Yankee relievers allowed two hits the rest of the way. Bednar needed eight pitches, all strikes, to finish it.
