Rogers and Peralta matched innings, seven each, 103 pitches to 98, and Peralta gave up the two that traveled. Alonso's 30th of the year left at 111.0 mph and landed 443 feet from home, scoring Cowser to make it 5-3. Piper's first of the season, a two-run shot to center in the second, is the one that put Baltimore ahead to stay. Peralta struck out six and walked one in seven, and he still lost.
