Brady House put a 98.9 mph fastball 445 feet to left-center for three runs, and by the time Miami got their second hit off Jackson Kent, they were down five. Eury Pérez threw 74 pitches in three innings — four walks, five strikeouts, five earned runs — and only 40 of those pitches were strikes, and the four walks are the cost. Kent gave Washington seven innings of three-hit, one-run baseball on 106 pitches, and the Marlins never got the inning that brought them back.
