Boyd left after seven innings with a lead and took the loss, having thrown 100 pitches and struck out seven. Zeferjahn started the eighth, gave up a hit and a walk, and did not finish the inning. Chourio singled in two on a 1-2 sinker, Yelich drove in another on a sac fly, and Milwaukee led 4-2. Crow-Armstrong hit his 41st home run in the ninth — a 107.9 mph line to right-center — to make it 4-3, and the Cubs left eight on base.
