Bazzana turned on a 96.6 mph fastball at 3-2 in the second and sent it 378 feet to right center — his 11th of the year, and the swing that broke the game open. Six runs scored in that inning, and Brandon Young was gone before the fourth was over, having allowed eight hits and six earned in 3.2 innings. Tanner Bibee couldn't finish the fifth for Cleveland, giving up five runs on six hits, but Tim Herrin came in and struck out two in 1.1 clean innings to keep the lead. Pete Alonso's 34th home run, a two-run shot in the fifth, got Baltimore within four, and that was as close as it got.
