Soriano needed 89 pitches to get through seven, and the Athletics never solved him — six hits, one walk, two runs, all of it earned. Kazuma Okamoto's 30th home run, a 94.2 mph cutter he turned around in the second, was one of three Toronto long balls. Spencer Miles came in for the last two innings and didn't allow a baserunner. Alejandro Kirk's run-scoring single in the sixth left his bat at 109.7 mph, and it was the last run Toronto scored.
