Davis Martin gave the White Sox five innings of one-run ball and left with the game tied. Sean Newcomb took the 7th and it got away from him — five hits, three runs in 1.1 innings. Konnor Griffin's two-run single on a 94 mph sinker was the blow that broke it open. Brandon Eisert struck out five in two and a third innings of hitless relief to earn the win, and Mason Montgomery closed it. The White Sox had eight hits and left nine on base in a game where they never led.
