One hundred pitches, six innings, two runs — Shota Imanaga's line, and by the time he left, Chicago had built a lead Pittsburgh could not reach. Alex Bregman's 25th home run, a two-run shot in the fourth, stretched the margin. Carson Kelly's two-run double in the second answered Oneil Cruz's RBI single from the first. Wilber Dotel and Khristian Curtis combined for nine earned runs across five innings for the Pirates. Seiya Suzuki tripled for the first time this season in the third and came home on Michael Busch's double.
