AJ Blubaugh took the loss facing a seventh inning he could not finish: two hits, a walk, three earned runs, and a 96.9 mph fastball that Acuña drove to left center for a grand slam — his twentieth home run of the year, four RBI in one swing. Grant Holmes had given Atlanta six innings of two-run ball, struck out four, walked nobody, and left trailing because Isaac Paredes homered in the first on a 96.3 mph fastball and singled in a run in the third. Mike Yastrzemski homered in the eighth and Yainer Diaz doubled in a run the same inning. Raisel Iglesias threw fourteen pitches in the ninth, struck out one, and ended it.
