Josh Hader threw 44 pitches in the tenth and walked four. The last one — to Julio Rodríguez with the bases loaded — sent J.P. Crawford home. That is how a 4-4 tie becomes a 6-5 final. Yainer Diaz had put Houston ahead with his first triple of the season, a sharp fly to right that scored Yordan Alvarez, but Hader couldn't hold it. He gave up a hit to Crawford, then walked Arozarena, Raleigh, and Rodríguez. Dominic Canzone drove in three for Seattle: a two-run single in the third at 112 off the bat, and an RBI single in the fifth to tie it. George Kirby struck out five over five but gave up four in the third. Six and a third innings of Seattle bullpen work produced one earned run. Hader's 44 pitches were more than any other reliever threw all night.
