The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Donovan Walton hit a three-run homer in the first on a first-pitch sinker at 100.4, and Henry Bolte — who doubled in the second at 115.1 off the bat, the hardest contact of the night — scored again in the sixth on Shea Langeliers' two-run double. The Athletics scored four before the Angels had a baserunner. Mike Trout went deep in the fourth, his twenty-second, on a 3-1 changeup. Vaughn Grissom followed with his thirteenth, but that was two runs in a five-run hole. Walbert Ureña took the loss: four innings, seven hits, five earned. Jeffrey Springs went four and a third for the Athletics, gave up five hits and three earned, and Geoff Hartlieb cleaned up for the win. The Angels had eight hits and left six. The Athletics had thirteen.
