Kremer threw 74 pitches over seven innings, gave up three hits and one run, and the Twins had a 5-1 lead by the fifth. Josh Bell's two-run homer in the third — a 96.4 mph fastball at 0-1 — was the swing that built the margin. Texas got one in the eighth and two on Corey Seager's 20th in the ninth, but the hole was six deep. Seager's homer brought two in, and the ninth ended with Texas still two short.
