Matt Olson's first home run of the season came on a 97.1 mph fastball in the first inning, and the Braves kept going from there. Ryne Nelson took the loss with 4.2 innings, but the damage was not just his — Kevin Ginkel faced four hitters and gave up three runs, and by the ninth James McCann was on the mound and seven hits and five runs came in behind him on 20 pitches. Reynaldo López went five innings for the win, and Austin Riley's first double of the year drove in two in the fifth. Andrew Hoffmann was the only Arizona pitcher who did not allow a run.
