By the time the first inning ended, the Phillies had scored seven runs, and Michael Lorenzen was on his way to 12 hits and nine earned in three innings. Aaron Nola struck out nine in 6.1 innings and gave up one run, which gets forgotten when the offense scores ten. Brandon Marsh hit a three-run homer in the 1st on a 93.1 mph fastball, and Kyle Schwarber's 5th-inning home run left the bat at 110.7 mph and traveled 460 feet. Valente Bellozo threw six innings of one-hit relief for Colorado on 77 pitches, and the game still reached the 9th.
