Rhett Lowder needed 95 pitches for 5.1 innings and left with eight hits and five runs on his line, and Miami kept scoring after he left. Owen Caissie's 112.6 mph double in the fourth drove in the first two, and the Marlins scored in five separate innings with one home run — Sal Stewart's fourth of the year. Max Meyer walked three but allowed one run in five innings, and Tyler Phillips finished the last three on 37 pitches.
