The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Kansas City left eleven on base and scored nothing, and Bobby Witt Jr. hit the hardest ball of the night — 113.4 mph off the bat, 347 feet — for a double that never came home. Anthony Kay threw 100 pitches in 5.2 innings and gave up three hits and no runs, and the Royals never found a way past him or the three arms that followed. Witt's double was the loudest thing Kansas City did all night, and it changed nothing.
