The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Jesús Luzardo had struck out eight and then the fifth inning happened. Ketel Marte's two-run single started it, Ildemaro Vargas tied it with a base hit, and James McCann's two-run double gave Arizona a lead they held the rest of the way. Brandon Marsh's three-run homer in the first on a 94.3 mph fastball had given Philadelphia what looked like a cushion. Michael Soroka struck out ten in five and two-thirds, which is the line of a starter who kept missing bats until his lineup caught up. All four Phillies runs scored in the first inning, and they managed seven hits the rest of the game without adding to the total.
