Adames homered in the third and doubled in a run in the fourth, and by the time Jung Hoo Lee went deep for the first time this season — a two-run shot in the seventh — the Giants had a cushion they never needed to protect. Landen Roupp gave them six innings of one-run ball on 93 pitches. The Orioles left nine on base and managed eight hits, two of which scored on Gunnar Henderson's ninth-inning homer. Shane Baz threw 99 pitches in five innings and gave up three, which is the line of a starter who worked through trouble without ever escaping it.
