Michael Wacha threw 88 pitches across eight innings, gave up four hits, walked one, struck out seven, and did not allow a run. Maikel Garcia's first-inning homer — a line drive to left center at 106.4 mph off the bat — was all Wacha needed, and Vinnie Pasquantino's sacrifice fly in the 8th added the second run. The White Sox managed four hits and left four on base. Erick Fedde gave up one run over five innings and took the loss, matching Wacha except for the one pitch that Garcia hit.
