The fourth inning was a swap — three runs each, six hits combined, the last of Atlanta's coming on Dominic Smith's sacrifice fly. What separated the night was the fifth. Bummer gave up three runs on four hits in his one inning, and the swing that broke it was Agustín Ramírez's first home run of the season, a three-run shot to left center. Riley's groundout brought one back for Atlanta, and then the Braves managed one hit the rest of the way. Pérez went four and left with the game tied. The bullpen behind him — Nardi, Faucher, King, Bachar, Bender — threw five scoreless on two hits. Bachar struck out four in two scoreless innings.
