The Cardinals had the lead twice and lost it twice, and the man who took it back both times was Liam Hicks — first with a sixth-inning single to center that scored Otto Lopez, then with an eighth-inning single to right that scored him again. Agustín Ramírez had put Miami ahead in the fifth with a line drive to center at 111.8 mph off the bat, his second homer of the year. Michael McGreevy gave up four earned in five and two-thirds, and St. Louis managed five hits in a game they led twice.
