Elly De La Cruz hit his seventh home run of the year in the first, a two-run shot to right center, and Cincinnati led the rest of the way. Ke'Bryan Hayes and Dane Myers each hit their first of the season in the second, and Spencer Steer added his fourth in the fifth. Chase Burns struck out eight in five and two-thirds and gave up two earned. Steven Matz took the loss with four earned in three innings. Kyle Nicolas walked five in the ninth and gave up four runs, which turned a 12-2 game into one that needed the last out to feel finished. Junior Caminero had two of Tampa Bay's eight hits.
