Aranda's two-run single and Díaz's two-run homer — his fourth, on a 92.7 mph fastball at 3-1 — gave Tampa Bay four runs in the third, and Simeon Woods Richardson was done after 4.1 innings with four earned on eight hits. Brooks Lee's two-run homer in the seventh, his fifth, got Minnesota within two after a review upheld the call. Jesse Scholtens gave Tampa Bay 4.1 innings of two-run relief and picked up the win. Bryan Baker needed sixteen pitches to close the ninth.
