Webb threw 92 pitches, struck out six, walked two, and handed a 2-1 lead to the bullpen. Ryan Walker got two outs in the ninth and gave up three hits and two runs — Bryson Stott's triple on a 95.5 mph sinker tied it, and Justin Crawford's single won it. Schwarber's 113.0 mph homer in the first was the hardest contact of the night and the only run off Webb. The Giants left nine on base across eight hits and never added to their first-inning total. Cristopher Sánchez went 6.2 innings with seven strikeouts and kept the Phillies close enough for the ninth to matter.
