Ty France's second triple of the season arrived in the seventh, a line drive to right on a 93.8 mph fastball that scored Tatis Jr. and Laureano and turned a 2-1 game into a 4-1 lead. Until then, Adrian Houser had matched Matt Waldron nearly pitch for pitch — two earned over six for Houser, one earned over five for Waldron, who struck out seven. The Giants' bullpen couldn't hold. Ryan Walker walked two and gave up two runs in the eighth without a strikeout, and Xander Bogaerts hit a two-run homer to left, his seventh, to put it out of reach. San Francisco finished with three hits and two left on base.
