Schmitt's first homer came on a 3-2 sweeper to left; his second, in the fifth, was a first-pitch cutter to right for two runs — his eighth of the season. Trevor McDonald went 6.2 innings with five strikeouts and one earned run. Rooker's three-run homer in the eighth left the bat at 109.5 mph and cut the lead to two, but Matt Gage needed only fifteen pitches to close the ninth. Luis Severino took the loss with ten hits and five earned in six innings.

The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.
