Nathan Eovaldi needed 94 pitches to get through seven, and Houston managed five singles — nothing else, no walks, eight strikeouts. Jake Burger's two-run homer in the fifth broke a scoreless tie on a 94.1 mph fastball, and his seventh-inning double left the bat at 109.6 mph. The line says Texas scored eight on seven hits, which is what happens when four of those hits came with men on. Kyle Higashioka's second home run of the year in the ninth was padding. Houston's five hits all came with the bases empty, and the club did not draw a walk.
