Bryce Miller left after 5.2 innings of one-hit baseball with a 1-0 lead, and it didn't matter. Luis Castillo came in and struck out four in two and a third, but the ninth began with a walk and a single before Chase Meidroth drove a 98.9 mph sinker through the right side to tie it. Andrew Benintendi followed with a single deflected by Josh Naylor, and Miguel Vargas scored the go-ahead run. Anthony Kay held Seattle to one hit over 5.1 innings and struck out five, and the Mariners finished with one hit all night.
