Aaron Nola needed 98 pitches for 13 outs, four walks tangled through five earned, and still Philadelphia kept the game within reach because Chicago kept handing back every lead it took. Both clubs scored in the 2nd, the 3rd, and the 5th, trading runs like neither side wanted to hold anything. Rafael Marchán put the Phillies ahead in the second with a two-run homer on a 96.2 mph fastball — his second of the year — then spent the fourth challenging the machine twice on Sam Antonacci's at-bat, once overturned, once confirmed. Chicago grabbed the lead in the fifth on Randal Grichuk's two-run single and lost it before the inning ended on Alec Bohm's double. Ten White Sox stranded. Tyler Davis took the loss, facing five hitters in the fifth and recording one out before Philadelphia scored three.
