Walker Buehler left with two outs in the fifth after giving up eight hits and one earned run. Bradgley Rodriguez came in and allowed the run that put Cincinnati ahead. Then Adrian Morejon threw 1.2 hitless innings — 13 pitches, eight strikes — and Jason Adam and Mason Miller followed with clean frames, Miller striking out the side on 19 pitches. Gavin Sheets doubled home the go-ahead run in the seventh off Zach McCambley, who allowed three earned on four hits in one inning. Samad Taylor drove in three across the seventh and eighth. Freddy Fermin homered in the third and singled in the eighth, driving in two on the night.
