Christian Walker's line-drive single to center in the ninth tied it at 4-4, and the game went to extras. Josh Hader had thrown a clean ninth before that — twelve pitches, ten strikes, three strikeouts. Bryan Abreu threw eight pitches, seven strikes, in the tenth to hold the line. Jake Meyers popped out to second baseman Nick Madrigal and Jose Altuve scored the winning run. The Angels had led since Zach Neto's seventh-inning homer to left center. Logan O'Hoppe's two-run double in the second had given Los Angeles its first lead. Spencer Arrighetti struck out seven over six innings but walked four. Houston left ten men on base. Sam Aldegheri took the loss on one hit and one unearned run.
