Nick Loftin's first triple of the season tied it in the seventh, and for two innings after that neither club could break through. Alex Lange threw thirty-two pitches in the tenth, gave up two runs, and took the loss. Jakob Junis, in two innings of relief, struck out three and allowed nothing — the cleanest work of a long night. Texas left thirteen on base and Kansas City left twelve, and the Rangers won a game that either team could have ended three times.
