One hit over 6.2 innings is a line a pitcher keeps, and Ranger Suarez allowed exactly that — a single, nothing else — while walking three and striking out five. Caleb Durbin's solo home run in the second, on an 0-0 fastball at 96.7 mph, was all the run support Suarez needed, and Marcelo Mayer drove in three more with a seventh-inning single and a ninth-inning double. Luis Castillo came out of the bullpen for four innings and gave up four earned on seven hits. Seattle finished with two hits and one error, and both hits came after Suarez left the game.
